An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology to be based within the Division of Applied Medicine. This post is aimed at individuals at Consultant level within Cardiology, with a strong research background and who wish to pursue an academic career in the specialty.
You will be expected to develop a portfolio of clinical research which complements existing areas of strength within the University of Aberdeen and related institutions. You will also participate as appropriate in teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will have teaching responsibilities within the MBChB programme.
You will be required to have a Certificate of Specialist registration in Cardiology with the General Medical Council and holding a higher research degree, eg PhD, MD is highly desirable. The post-holder will be awarded an Honorary Consultant Contract within NHS Grampian.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Consultant scale (£74,504 - £100,446 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
