This post is available to start from August 2010 for a fixed term of 26 months. The major role will be to act as a Clinical Operations Co-ordinator for a large randomised controlled trial running in the Yorkshire region.
This post is key to the running of the Tight Control of Psoriatic Arthritis (TICOPA) trial which is funded by the Arthritis Research Campaign. Responsible to the Principle Investigator, Dr Philip Helliwell, you will play a key role in screening and treating patients within the study, training of research staff at other study sites and management of the study in conjunction with the Leeds Clinical Trials Research Unit (CTRU).
Applicants must be medically qualified, with experience in Rheumatology, and you will be Fellow/Member of one of the Royal Colleges (or equivalent). Experience of working in clinical research setting is essential, with Good Clinical Practice training an advantage. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a team player, you will be responsive, efficient and highly motivated.
