Applications are invited for the above post based in the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology, King’s Meadow Campus, Lenton Lane, Nottingham. The person appointed will work with members of the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network (UK DCTN) in order to progress trial suggestions into fully developed funding applications. They will support the wider development of the UK DCTN as an international organisation for the conduct of dermatology clinical trials.
Candidates should hold a postgraduate qualification preferably in health services research (or a related subject), and/or have significant relevant work experience in the field of clinical trials. They should have significant experience of designing and conducting clinical trials including significant experience of working in a multi-centre clinical trials environment. In addition, candidates should have a thorough knowledge of Research Governance and the EU clinical trials directive and of submitting ethics/R&D applications. Experience in delivering training, database design, data analysis and report writing will be an advantage.
Salary will be within the range £35,646 - £43,840 per annum, pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £50,822 per annum, pro rata, subject to performance). Hours of work are 21¾ per week. This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of two years.
