Fixed Term Contract for 3 years
You will assist first and second year graduate-entry medical students at Warwick Medical School in their case-based group learning as a group learning facilitator. This is organised in clinically relevant modules of biological sciences and social sciences. You will undertake research, with an active interest in Medical Education, for submission of a Masters of Education or via PhD (part time). Supervision for the qualification will be determined through the direction of a suitable supervisor at the University of Warwick . There will be no on-call commitments and salaries will be at Senior House Officer or Specialist Registrar Grade reflecting seniority but without banding. The core hours for this post are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday; however you may be required to work additional hours when needed.
You will have an interest in Medical Education and the ability to be able to explain clinical concepts to medical students. You will have completed at least foundation year two or equivalent training have proven experience of the UK healthcare system.
This post has been specifically designed as a training post. Over the three year period, you will be expected to register for the Post Graduate Award in Medical Education and 3 core modules offered in the Masters in Medical Education programme. Your place would be free and the credits from the module are transferable between Institutions.
