The University of Sheffield, in partnership with the Yorkshire and Humber Postgraduate Deanery and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, has developed an exciting pathway of academic clinical training opportunities.
Applications are invited for a new National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Lecturer in Neurology within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health. This new post has been created as part of the Modernising Medical Careers (MMC)/ National Co-ordinating Centre for Research Capacity (NCCRCD) programme of Integrated Academic Training and offers candidates a comprehensive experience of clinical academic medicine working alongside internationally renowned clinicians
and researchers.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual wishing to excel in both their clinical and academic training and who has the ambition to be the next generation of world-leading academic clinicians.
The duration of the Clinical Lectureship is for a maximum of 4 years or until CCT is reached, whichever is the sooner. Applicants must be able to demonstrate evidence of academic achievement and have successfully completed a PhD/MD. They will also be eligible to hold an NTN or may already hold an NTN, having undertaken some training at Specialty Registrar level or equivalent. The post-holder will spend 50% of their time in clinical training and 50% undertaking research and academic training.
